Vision Techniques provides latest safety equipment for Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council

The new Banksman Auto Braking 77ghz Radar is taking safety to the next level in not just warning about dangers but also completely removing the risk of collision accidents. If the radar detects something in its view, the system will give the driver an audible and visual warning, however if the driver does not react to the alarms the system will automatically apply the brakes, bringing the vehicle to a safe and controlled stop.

Cliff Brown, Assistant Transport Manager at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council said “The new Banksman Auto Braking 77ghz Radar is far superior than any other systems we have had previously. As a local authority, we have a responsibility for creating a safe environment for our people to work in and making our vehicles the safest they can be.

The safety of road users is something we take very seriously. We have warning lightboards on our vehicles along with the VT Night Sight HD cameras on a 4 camera DVR system. Their innovations enhance our fleet safety and they always maintain excellent customer service, that's why we partner with Vision Techniques”

Dave Smith General Manager at Vision Techniques concluded: "Our partnership with Blackburn and Darwen Borough Council is long-standing, we're proud to support Cliff and his team by ensuring they have the best safety features available and helping them drastically reduce the risk of accidents.

The new Banksman Auto Braking 77ghz Radar system is proving to be outstanding in comparison to our previous model and we are receiving some remarkable feedback”
